Steve leads our Business Accounting Services Department. As such, he describes himself as chief financial officer and consultant for clients. Steve works with many organizations that may have a limited accounting staff. Clients rely on Steve and his department for help with compiled financial statements, payroll, financial projections, and creating efficiencies in accounting systems. Steve also heads the firm's Affordable Housing niche which includes multi-family developments regulated by HUD, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and Rural Development.

Steve takes an active role in assisting clients with obtaining Low Income Tax Credits for new and rehabilitated multi-family developments. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University in 1981 and received the designation of Certified Management Accountant in 1986. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as financial advisor to the Lansing Educational Advancement Foundation.
