Jim has been with MC&E for 15 years and specializes in business accounting, consulting and auditing. He serves many clients in the Affordable Housing industry, including HUD. He also works with closely-held businesses and nonprofit organizations, particularly volunteer health and human service agencies and professional associations. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University.

As a member of the firm's Nonprofit Services Niche Committee, Jim understands the importance of community involvement and is active in many local organizations. He served on the board of directors of Ele's Place for many years. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He was the 2003 chairman of the MACPA's Non-Profit Committee.
