Recruitment Process

The Majority of new hires at Maner, Costerisan & Ellis result from recruiting efforts at colleges and universities across the state. The process usually begins with an event on campus. However, if we do not visit your campus, or you have already graduated, you can contact us directly by completing the on-line application.

The process consists of four basic steps:

  1. Get to know MC&E
    1. Review our web site thoroughly. It will answer many of your questions.
    2. Attend a recruiting event sponsored by your campus accounting club or Beta Alpha Psi chapter during the school year.
  2. Meet with our Recruiting Team
    1. Make sure your resume is on-line with your campus career services. If we are impressed with your resume, we will select you to sign up for a campus interview.
    2. Come to the interview on time and dress professionally. Remember - first impressions count!
    3. In the short time provided, our recruiter will be assessing your qualifications and your ability to transition onto our team as a successful member. Topics of discussion will include your:
      1. Interest in public accounting
      2. Class work and academic achievements
      3. Outside interests
      4. Long-term goals
    4. Remember, you will also have time to ask questions and make preliminary judgment on MC&E's ability to provide you with the career opportunities you seek.
  3. Visit our office and interview with our Leadership
    1. Our primary purpose of the visit is for you to meet and interview with MC&E Principals and Staff.
    2. The visit will allow you to briefly experience our work environment and corporate culture.
    3. Your visit will include a tour of our office in Lansing and an enjoyable lunch or dinner with staff members.
  4. Notification

  5. After your office visit, you will receive a letter extending a job offer or indicating we are unable to offer you a position at this time.
