Meet The Team

Jeffrey C. Stevens, CPA, CITP, Vice President, Principal
Director of Management Consulting Services

Jeff is the Director of Management Consulting Services and provides a wide variety of services to the Firm’s clients. He is the Firm’s primary advisor for technology planning and budgeting. Jeff provides litigation support services, grant management services, internal control reviews, strategic planning, financial modeling and forecasts, accounting and auditing services, and more. Jeff has degrees in both accounting and data processing, giving him a unique perspective on providing business solutions that meet clients’ needs. He is a graduate of Ferris State University and has Certificates of Educational Achievement in both Governmental Accounting and Auditing and Non-Profit Accounting and Auditing. He is a Certified Information Technology Professional. Jeff has over 19 years of experience assisting clients. Jeff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Management Consulting Services Division, The American Institute of Public Accountants’ Information Technology Membership Section, the Institute of Technology Advisors and the Institute of Litigation Services Advisors.

David B. Caldwell, Principal
Accounting and Network System Specialist

David will provide technical assistance in the hardware and networking areas. Dave is a graduate of Indiana University. He merged his company with Maner Costerisan & Ellis, P.C. on January 1, 2001. Dave has 18 years experience with networking and system support and accounting and business software solutions resulting in satisfied references across the United States. Dave’s experience and training have allowed him to provide a holistic approach to implementing business solutions especially where there are important considerations between the business software and network services. Dave has served as adjunct faculty at Lansing Community College, Jackson Community College, and Davenport School of Business teaching accounting and finance, taxation, legal writing and contracts.

James F. Meyer, Sr. Mgr.
Business Solutions & Technology

James F. Meyer has joined Maner, Costerisan & Ellis, P.C. as Director of Business Development in the Business Solutions & Technology department. Prior to joining Maner, Costerisan & Ellis, Meyer was responsible for business development for Plante & Moran’s Microsoft Business Solutions practice. Meyer has over 25 years of experience in computer-based financial management systems and is a nationally recognized expert on the Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Great Plains) ERP solution for small and medium-sized businesses. His achievements include being a charter member of the Great Plains Advisory board and 9 years participation in the Microsoft Inner Circle (top 1%). Meyer has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and currently resides in Ann Arbor.

Matt Mason
Senior Business Solutions Specialist, Great Plains

Matt Mason has been an accounting systems consultant for twelve years, working with such systems as Great Plains, Solomon, MAS90 and Real World. Certified in GP Financials, Project Accounting and Payroll/Human Resources, Matt has implemented Great Plains systems exclusively for the past six years. He has expertise with most facets of the software, including Payroll, Inventory Control, Sales Order Processing, Project Accounting, Human Resources and interfaces with many custom programs. Prior to his career as a computer consultant, Matt was a practicing CPA with MC&E as a tax accountant. Matt adds many dimensions to the MC&E technology group.

Dave Feenstra
Business Solutions Specialist, Great Plains

Dave Feenstra is a Business Solutions Specialist in the Business Solutions Group at MC&E. Dave has been developing custom applications in the insurance industry for over 10 years where his roles have ranged from that of an Actuary to Systems Manager. He also has several years of experience implementing and supporting Great Plains and as a technology consultant. Dave is a Microsoft Certified Professional in Great Plains Financials.

Joe DeLuca
Business Solutions Specialist, Infrastructure

Joe DeLuca joins us as a Business Solutions Specialist specializing in infrastructure at MC&E. He has been a computer systems analyst for eight years working with networks and system support. As a Microsoft Certified Professional and an A+ Certified Service Technician, Joe specializes in information system design and support. Joe will provide technical assistance in the hardware and networking areas both related and unrelated to Microsoft Business Solutions-Great Plains.

Scott Witteveen
Business Solutions Specialist, Great Plains - Alliance Member

Scott has more than 10 years experience using, implementing and supporting the Microsoft Dynamics GP product line and over 20 years experience in operational, non-profit and retail accounting environments. He utilizes his professional experience to assist clients in reviewing current processes and practices to enhance the use and functionality of their business software. His dual understanding of accounting systems and technology provides a unique mix of skills to ensure full utilization of the company’s business system, while designing processes that are efficient and user friendly. Scott has implemented or supported Dynamics GP installations in manufacturing, distribution, service, long-term healthcare, non-profit, and retail organizations. Scott has also designed and implemented interfaces from time and attendance and point of sale business systems into GP. Scott has a BS degree in Finance from Grand Valley State University and an AS degree in Accounting from Davenport University.


Christine Strukel
Customer Sales Manager

Christine is the newest member of the Business Solutions and Technology Department, but has been a part of the MC&E Team for over 7 years. Christine has an AS degree from Lansing Community College and a diverse background including working as an account manager, office manager, and accountant. She has worked with a number of different accounting systems, both as a user and as a consultant and trainer. Her primary role is to assist you in making sure we meet your expectations and needs. She brings a great appreciation and understanding of the users’ perspective, having performed the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger and financial reporting roles during her career.
