The Affordable Housing industry requires developers and builders to adhere to strict demands of regulators and investors in addition to managing multiple developments and construction projects with non-stop deadlines.

MC&E has created and maintains a Affordable Housing niche group committed to staying on top of the latest regulations and requirements imposed by regulators such as HUD, Rural Development and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Our niche leaders attend national conferences to stay abreast of the changes in the affordable housing and real estate environment.

We will work with you from the planning stages to assist in obtaining and reserving the Low Income Housing Tax Credits issued by the Authority, as well as preparing LIHTC carryover allocations; Owner, Mortgager and Contractor Certifications; annual audits and partnership tax returns. This process helps to insure that regulators and investors are supplied with timely financial information to fulfill their requirements.

The shareholders in our Affordable Housing niche group have over 55 years of combined experience in the Affordable Housing industry which enables us to service a wide range of developments throughout Michigan that are financed with HUD, Rural Development, MSHDA or conventional loans.
